Andrew Adcock

Andrew is Chairman of Majedie Investments plc, JP Morgan European Investment Trust plc and Victory Park Specialty Lending Investments plc, all of which are investment companies.
Andrew is an independent non-Executive Director of Foxtons Group plc, where he chairs the remuneration committee, and a non-Executive Director of F&C Global Smaller Companies plc and Kleinwort Benson Bank Limited. He is Chair of The Samuel Courtauld Trust and also a Director of the Courtauld Institute of Art.
He was previously Managing Partner of Brompton Asset Management and, until 2009, served as Vice Chairman of Citigroup Corporate Finance. Prior to this Andrew was a partner at Lazard LLC. He has over 30 years’ experience in the City of London and was instrumental in the establishment of BZW as a major corporate broking franchise prior to the business being sold to CSFB (now Credit Suisse).

Dr Ataf Ahmed

Dr. Ataf Ahmed is the global head of Asset Management for the QInvest group. He is responsible for launching and building the asset management division and is responsible for launching QMAP, QInvest’s award winning managed account fund platform. Prior to joining QInvest, he was a Director in the UBS Wealth Management Hedge Funds group in Zurich. He started his career in the Barclays Group and his last role was Head of Strategic Asset Allocation for Barclays Wealth in London. Ataf has PhD in Semiconductor Physics from the University of Cambridge and is CFA Charterholder.

Tamim Al-Kawari

Tamim is the Chief Executive Officer of QInvest.  He previously served as QInvest’s Deputy CEO and, prior to joining QInvest, was Goldman Sachs Managing Director and Country Head for Qatar.

Erik Anderson

Erik has 30 years’ experience in Corporate Broking across a broad range of sectors.  He re-joined Panmure Gordon in 2015 having latterly been Head of Corporate Broking at Investec and Canaccord. 

He has led numerous IPOs, secondary fund-raisings, acquisitions and take-overs both on the Full List and on AIM. Erik has longstanding institutional relationships, particularly with key UK small and mid-cap investors. 

He graduated from Reading University with a BA (Hons) in Economics and Politics.

Ian Axe

Ian has over 20 years of capital markets experience working in brokerage, banking and market infrastructure in Europe, the United States, Asia and Africa. He has held a number of senior executive positions including Group CEO of LCH.Clearnet, the world’s leading multinational clearing house.

Previous investment banking experience includes: at Barclays, Global Head of Equity Finance, Global Head of Operations, COO (EMEA) for both the investment bank and wealth management; and Group COO at ABSA Capital. Ian has both built and transformed investment banking businesses, including the Lehman integration, and divesture of Barclays Global Investors (BGI), while at Barclays.

Ian has spent the last two years investing in and advising FinTech companies and currently sits as a non-executive director on the board of Squalker, an equity swap brokerage technology venture.

Andrew Blain

Andrew joined Panmure Gordon in August 2017. Prior to this he worked for over a decade covering Beverages and Smaller Companies at Shore Capital and Growth Companies at Cenkos Securities. He has gained a broad range of experience across multiple sectors and a significant number of primary and secondary fundraisings. Andrew was voted Small Cap Awards ‘Analyst of the Year’ in 2017.  

He holds a BA (Hons) Business Economics from the University of Liverpool and MBA from Manchester Business School.


Victoria Chernykh

Victoria joined the Investment Funds team in 2017, bringing over 15 years of diverse research and marketing experience across asset classes, including funds, single equities and bonds.

Prior to Panmure Gordon, she was an Investment Director at Tilney Bestinvest and has previously held roles at S&P Global, Religare Capital Markets and Commerzbank.

Victoria has originated and authored over 200 research/strategy pieces targeted at institutional investors, and has a degree in Economics and an MBA in General Management from Cass Business School.

Adrian Collins

Adrian has 30 years of experience in corporate finance and equity and debt capital markets, including financing entrepreneurial businesses, growth capital, acquisition and leveraged finance, High Yield, and corporate loans. He is an expert in the origination, structuring and market execution of capital markets transactions in both public and private markets. 

Adrian joined Panmure Gordon from Artesian Advisers, a mid-cap focused corporate finance boutique he founded in 2013. Previously, he held senior roles at The Royal Bank of Scotland and Credit Suisse First Boston in London, New York and Hong Kong. Adrian commenced his banking career at Bankers Trust Australia.

Barrie Cornes

Barrie has been the insurance analyst at Panmure Gordon since 2007 covering both Life and General Insurance. He started his career underwriting at Royal Insurance, becoming an Underwriting Manager in its City office. Following a period as Investor Relations Manager he became an insurance equity research analyst at Charterhouse Securities, and then Cheuvreux. Barrie has been regularly ranked top 3 in the Extel UK Small/mid cap survey, including #1, and has received numerous Starmine awards including #1 for earnings accuracy. He studied Economics at Liverpool, is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII) and a Chartered Insurer.

Freddy Crossley

Freddy has 15 years experience, joining Panmure Gordon in 2012. He began his career as a graduate at Charles Stanley stockbrokers, and subsequently worked at Seymour Pierce where he acted for many clients particularly in the Healthcare and Technology sector.

Freddy has led numerous M&A and equity market transactions on both AIM and the Official List including Class 1 transactions, secondary fundraisings and IPOs, and managed the recent IPOs of Horizon Discovery, Midatech and Focusrite.

Freddy holds a BSc Hons in Human Physiology from Bristol University.
