LONDON, 23 March, 2011 – Panmure Gordon & Co., a leading independent institutional stockbroker and investment bank, is pleased to announce the addition of a new senior banker and two new equity analysts to the firm.
In investment banking, Panmure Gordon has hired Fred Walsh as a director. Mr Walsh has significant corporate finance experience and joins the firm from Arden Partners. He has previously worked at Landsbanki, Credit Suisse and ABN AMRO.
In research, Panmure Gordon has hired Chris Smith, a specialist financials analyst. Mr Smith joins the firm from Merchant Securities and has previously worked at Jefferies, Oriel and HSBC. Additionally, Panmure Gordon has re-hired Philip Dorgan to its retail team from Altium, to work alongside highly Extel ranked retail analyst, Jean Roche.
The three new hires, who will all be in place by early June, are in addition to the recent arrival of Brett Jacobs and Charles Leigh-Pemberton to Panmure Gordon’s corporate broking team.
