LONDON, 6 December 2011 – Panmure Gordon & Co., a leading independent institutional stockbroker and investment bank, has continued to gain clients and rise through the stockbroker and financial adviser rankings collated by the Morningstar Professional Services Rankings Guide in its 2011 final quarter survey.

Commenting on the Morningstar rankings, Panmure Gordon Group Chief Executive, Tim Linacre, said: “In turbulent times, corporate clients have been attracted to Panmure Gordon’s stability and reputation for putting their interests first. In the year-to-date, we have been very pleased to welcome 17 new clients to the firm, from FTSE250 to AIM and across a wide range of sectors.”

Recording five new stockbroking clients in Morningstar’s final quarter of 2011, Panmure Gordon jumped from 12th to 7th in the overall rankings with a total of 75 clients. In the same rankings guide last year, Panmure Gordon recorded 64 clients.

Panmure Gordon also enters the Top 5 rankings for AIM stockbrokers, having gained four new clients in the period, bringing the firm’s total number of AIM-quoted clients to 52.

In the financial adviser rankings, Panmure Gordon also jumped two places to enter the overall Top 10 rankings, having gained five new clients, bringing the firm’s total to 54.
