Charles Lesser

Charles started his career 20 years ago, at UBS’ equity research department in the top rated oil & gas team. In 2006 he left to establish Tristone, a new oil & gas advisory boutique in London, which became the leading advisor to oil independents (by size and volume). In 2009 this was sold to Macquarie, where Charles initially ran the Small & Mid Cap equities business before migrating to corporate finance, heading up the European Energy investment banking team. His clients include most of the well known independent oil & gas companies.

Toby Rolls

Toby is Head of M&A at Panmure Gordon and leads the firm’s M&A practice across industry sectors.

Toby has 17 years’ investment banking experience, advising corporate and financial sponsor clients on a broad range of public and private M&A.  Before joining Panmure Gordon, he was at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, the financial services specialist, having previously been a senior team member at Perella Weinberg Partners, the independent M&A and advisory firm.  Toby began his career at Merrill Lynch, working in London and New York.

Within the financial services sector, Toby advises insurance companies; banks and non-bank lenders; asset and wealth managers; and FinTech companies.  He also works more broadly with clients across Natural Resources; Power and Utilities; Real Estate; and Technology and Media.  Toby has advised on M&A transactions in the UK (many under the Takeover Code), the U.S., and in continental Europe.  He also advises clients on associated equity and debt capital raises, and on strategic, legal and regulatory issues around M&A, valuation, corporate structure, and governance.

Toby has a degree in Chemistry from Oxford University.

Chloe Ponsonby

Chloe Ponsonby joined Panmure Gordon as Senior Managing Director, Corporate Broking, and is responsible for driving the expansion of our client footprint in the UK.

She arrived at Panmure from McLean Advisory, an independent equity advisory firm where she was a Partner. Prior to this, she managed UK equity funds at Jupiter Asset Management before moving on to advise companies as a Corporate Broker.

Chloe is also a Non-Executive Director of Avon Rubber plc. Through her fund management and Board experience, she has unique insight into the decisions faced by both our corporate and institutional clients.

Richard Gray

Richard joined Panmure Gordon in 2002. He has worked at Lazard, Charterhouse UBS and Hoare Govett and held senior positions in London and New York.

He has broad management and transactional experience spanning research, equity sales, equity capital markets, corporate broking and corporate finance. 

He is a Non-Executive Director of F&C Private Equity Trust plc.

Fabien Holler

Fabien has over 10 years’ experience, having joined Panmure Gordon in 2014. He began his career in technology transfer at the UK Department of Trade and Industry, and then Venture Capital at Imperial Innovations Group plc. He then joined Espirito Santo Investment Bank prior to joining Panmure Gordon.

Fabien has extensive experience of capital markets and M&A transactions on both AIM and the Official List, including IPOs and secondary fundraisings. He specialises in the Financials sector, and his interests range from alternative lending and fund management to fintech and the insurance sector.

Fabien holds an MSc in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Ecole Supérieure d’Electricité, one of the top Schools of Engineering in France, and an MBA with distinction from the Edinburgh Business School.

Dominic Morley

Dominic has worked in Equity Capital Markets for nearly 30 years and joined Panmure Gordon in 1994 after periods at Hambros Bank from 1988 as an assistant fund manager and Ashurst Morris Crisp from 1990, where he qualified as a corporate lawyer. He has worked on numerous IPOs, secondary fund-raisings, acquisitions, take-overs and private placings. Dominic graduated from Bristol University with LLB(Hons).

Ben Thorne

Ben joined Panmure Gordon in 2015 as a Managing Director in Corporate Advisory and has almost 30 years’ experience working in corporate finance and equity capital markets. Previously, he advised small/midcap corporates on both primary and secondary fundraising at Altium, and prior to that he spent 15 years at Kleinwort Benson where he was involved in numerous IPOs and M&A transactions.

Ben qualified as a solicitor and practiced as a corporate finance lawyer before entering the City.

Freddy Crossley

Freddy has 15 years experience, joining Panmure Gordon in 2012. He began his career as a graduate at Charles Stanley stockbrokers, and subsequently worked at Seymour Pierce where he acted for many clients particularly in the Healthcare and Technology sector.

Freddy has led numerous M&A and equity market transactions on both AIM and the Official List including Class 1 transactions, secondary fundraisings and IPOs, and managed the recent IPOs of Horizon Discovery, Midatech and Focusrite.

Freddy holds a BSc Hons in Human Physiology from Bristol University.

Adam James

Adam joined Panmure Gordon in March 2012. Adam has gained a wide range of experience in all areas of investment banking and capital markets, including primary and secondary equity fundraisings, M&A, restructuring and strategic advice.

Adam covers a breadth of sectors but has a particular focus on natural resources, advising AIM, Official List, dual listed and private clients.

Adam received a BSc (Hons) from Edinburgh University in Physiology and Neuroscience and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and the Energy Institute.

Erik Anderson

Erik has 30 years’ experience in Corporate Broking across a broad range of sectors.  He re-joined Panmure Gordon in 2015 having latterly been Head of Corporate Broking at Investec and Canaccord. 

He has led numerous IPOs, secondary fund-raisings, acquisitions and take-overs both on the Full List and on AIM. Erik has longstanding institutional relationships, particularly with key UK small and mid-cap investors. 

He graduated from Reading University with a BA (Hons) in Economics and Politics.
