Panmure Gordon is further expanding its investment banking business with the appointment of a senior investment banker in its Financial Institutions Group (‘FIG’).
Max Cornu-Thenard joins as a Managing Director and will focus on the insurance sector. Max has 20 years of experience working for and with insurance companies, including Swiss Re. Most recently he worked for Keefe, Bruyette & Woods.
His appointment follows that of Stephen Howard, who joined Panmure Gordon last month to lead the Company’s FIG activities, and Antoine Dupont-Madinier, who also joined in February to work with asset management, asset servicers and FinTech companies.
John Muncey, Head of Investment Banking at Panmure Gordon, said:
“I am pleased to continue to expand our Financial Institutions Group, since it is an important pillar of our growth and mid-cap investment banking franchise. Max’s experience of working with insurance companies complements and rounds out the team’s expertise.”
