Panmure Gordon expands investment banking with senior hire
19 February 2019
Panmure Gordon is expanding its investment banking business with the appointment of Oliver Cardigan as Head of Consumer banking. Oliver is a Managing Director and reports to John Muncey, Head of Investment Banking.
Oliver re-joins Panmure Gordon after a 20-year absence. He was most recently at Numis, where he spent 12 years in a variety of roles originating and executing ECM, public and private M&A and DCM, plus positions in client management and origination. Prior to that he worked for Rothschild in M&A and ECM roles.
John Muncey said: “Oliver’s background makes him an ideal addition to our Investment Bank leadership team as we deliver on our strategy to be a merchant bank for mid and small cap companies. I am delighted to welcome him back to Panmure Gordon.”
The appointment comes as Panmure Gordon continues to build its investment banking capability. It recently appointed Stephen Howard as Head of Financial Institutions and Antoine Dupont-Madinier as a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions team to work with asset and wealth management, asset servicing and FinTech companies.
